1. Agreement
These terms apply when you use openrey.com, create an OpenRey account, access ReyGame release materials, or purchase ReyGame directly from Rey. By using those services, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the account, purchase, or download services.
2. Development status
ReyGame is experimental early-access software. Features, performance, compatibility, system requirements, saves, interfaces, and release plans may change. Current downloads and direct sales are paused while the engine is being refactored and restructured. Historic releases are provided as pre-alpha software and may contain bugs or unsupported behavior.
3. Accounts
- Provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
- Keep your password and reset links private.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you report unauthorized access promptly.
- If you are not legally able to agree to these terms where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept them for you.
- Rey may restrict accounts used for fraud, abuse, attacks on the service, payment manipulation, or unlawful activity.
4. Software license
When you lawfully receive ReyGame, Rey grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the software on devices under your control, subject to the license included with that release.
You may not:
- redistribute, sublicense, resell, or publicly upload game files;
- use the software or service to violate law or another person's rights;
- bypass account, purchase, download, or security controls; or
- claim ownership of ReyGame, Rey's engine, or included proprietary assets.
You may create and share ordinary gameplay videos, streams, screenshots, and commentary. This permission does not grant the right to redistribute the software or extract and resell its assets.
5. Purchases and delivery
Prices, currency, included content, development status, and delivery timing will be shown before a future direct purchase. Payments may be processed by PayPal. No physical product is shipped. Access may be delivered through an account, launcher, or download link.
Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy and any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
6. Saves, updates, and compatibility
Rey may update, replace, or discontinue pre-alpha builds. Save upgrades and downgrades may work between compatible versions, but compatibility is not guaranteed across major structural or engine changes. Back up important worlds before changing versions.
7. Third-party services
The site may use or link to Cloudflare, PayPal, Patreon, Discord, Resend for transactional account email, YouTube, and X. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. Rey is not responsible for third-party services outside Rey's control.
8. Experimental software disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, pre-alpha software and historic builds are provided “as is” and “as available.” Rey does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every device, preservation of every save, or that every bug will be corrected. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rey is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from experimental software, including lost saves, lost data, interrupted access, or device incompatibility. This limitation does not apply where the law does not allow it.
10. Changes and contact
These terms may be updated as ReyGame, payments, or account services change. The updated date will appear at the top. Material changes will be communicated where required. Questions can be submitted through the support page.
