Questions & answers

ReyGame FAQ.

Straight answers about the current engine work, historic builds, future plans, and what early-access players should expect.

What is ReyGame?

ReyGame is an independently developed sandbox for building, reshaping, and exploring editable voxel worlds. Its custom engine combines world generation, physics, voxelization, rasterization, ray tracing, and path-traced lighting experiments.

What is the current development status?

ReyGame is in early access, but the engine is currently being refactored and restructured. New downloads and direct purchases are paused until a stable test build is ready.

Can I download ReyGame now?

There is no current development build available. Historic Pre Alpha 0.0.1 and 0.1.0 posts remain linked in the release archive, but they do not represent the current engine.

Which operating systems are supported?

Previous builds supported Windows, Linux, and macOS. All three desktop platforms remain targets for future versions. Android and iOS are future goals and are not confirmed releases. Historic macOS builds documented a fullscreen crash, so their fullscreen mode should be treated as unsupported.

Does ReyGame support controllers?

Keyboard and mouse are the current input method. Controller support is planned for a future build.

Is ReyGame offline or online?

Single-player is intended to work offline after installation. Multiplayer is planned and will require an internet connection. Downloading builds and updates may also require an account and launcher connection.

Does ReyGame use DRM?

No always-online DRM is planned for single-player. Access may be checked when downloading or updating the game. The software license is personal, non-transferable, and does not permit redistributing or reselling game files.

Will saves work across versions?

Pre Alpha 0.1.0 introduced automatic save upgrades and compatible downgrades. Very large structural changes can require manual conversion through a newer version. Save compatibility after the current engine changes will be documented before release.

What hardware will I need?

Final requirements are not available during the current engine work. Historical testing reached about 30 FPS at 1080p on a GTX 1650. See the provisional table on the early-access page.

How can I follow development or report a problem?
